The DynArray A500 is a weatherproof antenna array designed to provide 360° coverage for DTC diversity receiver systems. The DynArray comes with three or five VDAR-1 circularly polarized patch antennas mounted on a rugged aluminum ring. Each antenna may be moved around the ring, and angled up or down 45°. Locking hardware is provided, so once the antenna is properly oriented it will not vibrate loose.

This entire assembly is then mounted in a weather resistant radome, similar to a marine radar system. Mounting brackets are provided as an option.

The output of each antenna is typically fed into a DTC SuperTRIAD or VR-450 diversity receiver. These diversity receivers automatically vote on which of the arriving signals is best, and switch to it during the horizontal interval.

The DynArray is ideal for both fixed, mobile and portable applications:

• In fixed environments, it may be permanently roof mounted or mounted on a ship’s mast, and used as a downlink platform in Airborne Law Enforcement or remote patrol camera applications.
• In a portable environment, it may be tripod mounted and used as a downlink from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or robots.
• In a mobile environment, it may be roof mounted on a command vehicle and used to receive body worn or other mobile video signals. Common applications would be in surveillance, Weapons of Mass Destruction teams, First Responder teams, and forensic crime scene analysis.
