DTC has the in-house capability to design, simulate,
prototype and manufacture a variety of antennas operating
from VHF to 5 GHz. Many antennas are offered as standard
products, particularly those used for microwave video
transmission and reception. Individual data sheets on
those antennas are found on this web site.
We are often called to design “electrically small”
antennas, packaging them in devices with limited or
unusual space constraints. We take pride in matching
the antenna to the output of the transmitter, maximizing
the effective radiation characteristics of the device.
Another area of expertise is in body coupled antenna
systems. We have many years experience in designing
body worn transmission systems, and the effect of the
body on antenna radiation.
We have several vector network analyzers supporting
both engineering and manufacturing for measurements
up to 6 GHz including time domain measurement capability.
We also utilize CST Microwave Studio®, a full 3D
EM simulator for modeling the performance of antenna
S parameters and radiation patterns on or near bodies,
vehicles and devices. With the full human data model
we can optimize antenna performance while maintaining
compliance with regulatory RF safety limits.
